A 24-hour station playing underground and independent music, where every hour is put together by the artist whose hour it is.
It plays continuously. There's no on-demand library and nothing to scroll. You tune in and hear whatever hour is running. That's deliberate. Discovery works differently when you didn't choose the track.
Why
Most places that play independent music still sit someone between the artist and the listener. Tracks go into a queue, a programmer decides what fits and where it lands, and what comes out the other end is that programmer's taste. It's curation, and it's fine, but it flattens everything into one voice.
Handing the hour to the artist gets you something else. They know which track has to follow which, what they've been sitting on, what nobody has heard yet, and what they actually want played at two in the morning. An hour built by the person who made the music sounds like them, not like a station's idea of them.
That's the whole premise. Underground music, at full length, sequenced by the people who made it, running whether or not anyone is listening at that moment.
What's next
Right now the station plays artist-programmed hours. Live sets, DJ shows and release-night listening events come once there are enough artists to sustain them.
